Cox Media Group/Houston: CMG's Houston office was filled with kids last week for the annual ''Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.'' 18 kids, ranging from 2 1/2 too 13 years old, came to work with their parents. Activities were planned for every age group as the kids learned to record a commercial, use their voices and see inside the studio as air personalities broadcast live.

More than 100 sledding teams competed for prizes in three categories: Best Designed Sled, Fastest Sled and Krazy Kids' Race. A large group of spectators and supporters braved the winter temps to cheer on their favorite team's race for glory.

He recently asked listeners to donate Lego's for the children, which he planned to take in suitcases on the trip. They expected a few boxes but instead were overwhelmed by listeners who wanted to participate.

The scholarship is named for Richard Monetti, a 1986 Newstudies graduate who was killed in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988.
