WJR-AM/Detroit: WJR Detroit's Paul W. Smith interviewed FCC Chairman Ajit Pai on his show last Friday. Pai, who has been an occasional guest on WJR as FCC Commissioner, called WJR to accept Smith's invitation to appear on his St. Patrick's Day show. KCBS-AM/San Francisco: CBS Radio and sponsor Canon MAXIFY Printers are visiting multiple cities to present the Small Business Grant Challenge whereby one lucky local small business owner is awarded a $10,000 grant for presenting the most creative plan to expand their business while also doing good in their community. Cumulus Media: The Band Perry kicked off its series of nine pop-up shows Sunday night at Terminal West in Atlanta to officially launch their pop career. WNCY-FM/Appleton: WNCY held it's 20th Annual St. Jude Radiothon on February 9 and 10 in Green Bay. $300,124 was raised in the fight against childhood cancer. The total marks a $25,000 increase over last year's radiothon. The 20-year tally for the radiothon is now $4.6 million. KZZP-FM/Phoenix: Johnjay Van Es of The Johnjay & Rich Show threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Arizona Diamondbacks game on Sunday. The Premiere-syndicated program, which originates from iHeartMedia's 104.7 KISS-FM in Phoenix, made it a #LoveUp/#LovePup event by giving 200 foster kids a free ticket to the game, and hosting a dog adoption event near the stadium for the Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA.
