Contest where three items are read/listed and the person has to guess which one is "phony baloney" -- the one that's real/true (not the one that's bogus). Could be done on-air or in a meat department at a grocer. Winner could win meat products from a certain vendor/store. Good daily morning show feature. (05-19-09)
On Labor Day, a sidewalk or street or beach clean-up is held. Every one who turns in a bag full of trash is entered in a drawing where the winner gets a "clean sweep" of prizes or gets to go through a certain store and take all they can get in X minutes/seconds. Or, the make it more public awareness-oriented, hire X homeless people to sweep up and pay X dollars to each plus complimentary lunch/dinner. Can be tied into any number of clients. (05-19-09)

A motorcycle (hog) contest tied into radio station bumper stickers. People are automatically entered when they apply a station bumper sticker to their vehicle. A marketing promotion where parents are encouraged to enter copies of their childrens' report cards and either listen (broadcast version) for the child's name or watch the daily posting of the child's name (retail version) and win X dollars or prizes for each "A" on the report card. Additional prize packages could be created for all entrants, those with all "A's", etc. The contest could also be held the first week after school's out and give X percent off for each "A" on the report cards or future discounts for school supplies when they come back in August (perfect for a school supply or clothing/shoe store). Set up a photocopier at the store where copies could be made for free to ease the burden of copying. (05-19-09)

A charity-driven event where people donate books, have a sale and proceeds go to charity (maybe even the library). Design pick- up/drop-off points in every zip code or arrange for service organizations to pick up the books. Set up the sale by category and price the books reasonably (say no more than 50 cents to a dollar each). Recycle the leftovers to a paper recycler. Sell sponsorships and offer signage at the book sale for the sponsors. Have the recipient charity do all the work. (05-19-09)
